Cafe Co-ordinator / Chef job description

About DINA

In 2016, DINA - Sheffield Arts Centre - was converted from a derelict pub & nightclub complex into a multi-storey building that became the heart of alternative arts and culture in Sheffield.

We recently moved out of our original venue on Cambridge Street and found a new and exciting space on Fitzalan Square, a small but beautiful unit in the historic White Building.

We host all types of events with a specific interest in developing and nurturing new talent, social projects, and those that are at the core of the lovely Sheffield community and we are a centre for LGBTQ events and communities.

DINA is supported by Arts Council England and The Department of Culture,Media and Sport, and works in partnership with Sheffield Theatres, The Migration Matters Festival , Sheffield and Hallam Universities.

We are also a hub for the LGBTQ+ community and host weekly meet-ups, drag shows & other events.

Currently the DINA cafe/bar is open Thursday - Sunday, with a daytime cafe menu being served 11-5 and a bar snacks menu 6-10. We also occasionally have events during, or outside of these hours which require catering.

We are looking for a new person to join our team with a background in food/cafe work, who is passionate about vegan and vegetarian food to manage the cafe side of the business. This would suit someone who has experience working in F and B businesses and wants to take the next step in management and making more decisions about the running of a small independent cafe.
