Sketch Writing For Beginners

A practical workshop which will help you to generate sketch ideas and take them from concept to finished and performable sketch.

We'll start with a short talk and discussion about how sketches work, with some suggestions for how to find the funny in different concepts and build a sketch from these ideas. We will then try collectively and individually writing sketches from some of the ideas generated, with useful tips and feedback from our expert, before attempting to perform a few at the end of the night (writers are under NO OBLIGATION to perform in their own pieces!!).

Pads and pens will be provided but feel free to bring your own (or a laptop).

Entry is free but the venue is not, so if you can afford to make a donation it would be very welcome (suggested is £3).
