Mirror DJ profiles

Robert E Baker is always a leading light in Sheffield’s avant audio and video art

scene going back to seminal roles in Clock DVA and more recently pLSrS and

Moon Furniture Pathogen. His favourite gay anthem of the moment is ‘Born to be

Alive’ by Patrick Hernandez

David, or Dr Disco as he prefers to be known, leads a double life. Like a tall bear,

he is as comfortable with late nights on the Manchester Canal Street scene as

hunting down rare East and West Coast disco 12s. Currently his favourite

extended mix is ‘Victim’ by Candi Staton

Jonaxthan, both artist and musician, is not afraid to play the odd splendidly

cheesy tune to complement his love of all things Italo, sexy disco and early deep

house. Known to dress a bit fancy for the occasion his previous incarnations

include Queen Jean, DJ Jon Boye and Wunderlich. Current tune on perpetual

rotation is ‘Follow Me’ by Amanda Lear
