You may have seen WIYAALA at Migration Matters a few years ago, this time she is back with a full live band! Wiyaala, which means “the doer” in her local Sissala dialect, is an independent musician entertainer from Funsi in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Fiercely self-reliant and proud, Wiyaala is known by her fans as the " Lioness of Africa". Wiyaala's music references West African Folk traditions with contemporary Afro-Pop.
She is an INCREDIBLE performer. This is not to be missed!
++++ MIM SULEIMAN a singer, songwriter, composer, performer, workshop facilitator and campaigner from Zanzibar. Her music encompasses elements from afro-beat, electronic, disco, deep house, and soul. She mainly sings in her native language Swahili, but occasionally uses other languages such as English and Fulani
